We're adding MAP to our product line. I was introduced to it by Dr Ben Edwards. The acronym stands for Master Amino acid Pattern. It contains eight of the 9 essential amino acids needed for humans. Essential amino acids are ones that must be obtained through your diet as they cannot be formed by your body as other amino acids can.
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Proteins serve many purposes in the body. Enzymes are proteins. Immunoglobulins produced by your immune cells are proteins. Amino acids like tyrosine and tryptophan are building blocks for hormones.
One very important function of proteins is providing the scaffolding of the human body. Bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, hair, skin and nails are all very protein dependent. Repair and maintenance of these structures requires ingestion, absorption and utilization of amino acids.
Absorption and utilization of amino acids declines with age. This is why wrinkles develop, skin sags, muscle mass decreases, hair quality declines and the immune system weakens.
MAP was designed as a highly absorbable form of amino acids. Most of the amino acids we get from our food does not get absorbed. When amino acids are efficiently absorbed, the body performs more efficiently. We see structural improvements, improved recovery times and weight loss as noted below.
MAP is an upper tier supplement for those seeking the next level in human performance. Athletes will benefit. Cancer patients will benefit. People seeking weight loss will benefit:
"Study results have shown that the use of MAP, in conjunction with the ANC/OMP, has proven to be safe and effective by preventing those adverse effects associated with a negative nitrogen balance, such as oversized or flabby tissue, stretch marks, sagging of breast tissue, increased hair loss, faded hair color, and fragile or brittle nails. Also preventing those anomalies commonly associated with weight-loss diets, such as hunger, weakness, headache caused by ketosis, constipation, or decreased libido, the use of MAP, in conjunction with the ANC/OMP, allowed for mean weight loss of 1.4 kg (3 lb) per week".
