Acne is caused by an immune system response (inflammation) to bacteria (proprionobacterium acne-P. acne) that overgrows on facial skin. This same bacteria is found on everyone’s skin. The inflammatory response only happens if numbers of bacteria reach a tipping point that stimulates an immune system response. Acne is not considered a disease as it’s caused by an immune system response to bacteria normally present on human skin.
Conventional therapies have employed oral/topical antibiotics. These kill good bacteria in the stomach, leading to other health problems. Accutane is a vitamin A derivative that successfully treats acne. However, oral isotretinoins are also known to cause severe side effects including elevated serum triglyceride levels, joint pain, acute pancreatitis, hepatotoxicity, clinical depression/suicide, and severe birth defects in pregnant women.
The Intelligent Design approach to acne follows the basic Intelligent Design mandates:
1) If something is present not mandated by Intelligent Design, remove it.
2) If something is missing that is mandated by Intelligent Design, replace it.
In acne, there is an excess of a specific bacterium. This bacterium feeds on an oily substance produced by skin cells called “sebum”. More sebum is produced in response to the increased production of androgenic hormones during puberty. More sebum creates a breeding ground for P. acne bacteria. If these bacteria overgrow, the immune system response is inflammation-an accumulation of white blood cells (pus) and production of chemicals called cytokines.
Normally, immune system foot soldiers,T and macrophages, attack and kill P. acne and other bacteria normally found on human skin. However, if there is Candida overgrowth, T cells and macrophages are weakened by chemicals produced by Candida called gliotoxins. This compromise in function of T cells and macrophages causes the inflammatory response to be dominated by cytokine production. This results in the chronic inflammation known as acne.
Step 1 is to reduce the number of P. acne bacteria on the skin. This is done by washing with the Zit Kit soap, allowing face to dry, spraying I Mist You, allowing to dry, then lathering up the soap on face and leaving on overnight. I Mist You is the concentration of hydrochloric acid normally produced by your stomach. The soap is a proprietary mixture of plant extracts that kill bacteria, viruses and fungi. The combination disinfects your skin.
The Candida overgrowth that is often associated with acne is caused by inadequate production of hydrochloric acid. Supplementing each meal with Robynzyme replaces the hydrochloric acid humans should normally be producing. Best results will be achieved by also following the BALi Eating Plan.
